Thermal cleaning by means of pyrolysis

Because industrial cleaning can be done differently

If you are confronted with persistent filth in your industrial processes, thermal cleaning by means of pyrolysis can often be very interesting. In a pyrolysis oven organic defilement is decomposed and pulverized by exposing it to very high temperatures. In that way heat-resistant parts, such as industrial baking trays for example, can be thoroughly and safely cleaned in an environmentally friendly way. Pyrolysis cleaning very often is an excellent alternative for aggressive chemical cleaning.

The principle of pyrolysis

Just like the fluidized bed technology pyrolysis is a form of thermal cleaning. Diverse types of defilement on machine and production parts are being pulverized at high temperatures. A pyrolysis cleaning oven can therefore reach temperatures of 380 to 400 degrees Celsius, in which the defilement in a way sublimates.

Suited for

All parts, both ferro as non-ferro, that can resist high temperatures without deforming or melting, can be cleaned by means of pyrolysis, but also the calorific value of the part plays a role.

An industrial pyrolysis oven is for example suited for the cleaning of industrial baking trays, but also for the thermal depolishing of metals and the cracking Teflon.

What is the best cleaning solution for you? Pyrolysis or fluidized beds?

Both pyrolysis ovens as fluidized beds are useable for the cleaning of production and machine parts by means of the thermal cleaning principle. However, both systems have some specific advantages and disadvantages that can determine your choice.

Pyrolysis

  • only thermal heating, no direct contact between the parts that need to be cleaned and the quartz sand
  • onderdelen en quartz zand
  • especially suited for persistent organic defilement (e.g. baking residue, soot…)
  • average duration of the cleaning process: 8 to 10 hours
  • parts are put or hung in the pyrolysis oven
  • flue needed (chimney)
  • compact configuration possible

Fluidized bed

  • thermal heating and controlled whirling with ultrafine calibrated quartz sand
  • often better results for inorganic defilement thanks to the whirling flow of air
  • duration of cleaning: only 90 minutes
  • combination of several loading systems (e.g. baskets, washbooths, conveyors…)
  • discharge of de-dusting system is advisable
  • often combined set-ups (with washbooths for example)

Let’s put our heads together

What industrial cleaning technique is best suited for you and which installation can we build or adapt for that means? We gladly take a look at your production area and discuss the objectives to determine a solution to your needs and to estimate the costs.

WHEN DO WE MEET?

  • Fluidized bed

At a high temperature and with non-corrosive whirling friction you can clean all sorts of metal parts in a fast and environmentally friendly way.
